83!
We celebrated my dads 83rd birthday last Sunday with some Chinese food at Shanghai. I hope I make it to 83! We put the camera on the Lazy Susan in the middle of the table.

Time to unite and move forward
However, as John McCain put it
"Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans"
We'll have a new president sworn-in in January, Barack Obama.
As an American, he'll be MY president.
It is time to unite and move forward.

Fresno State kicks one!
That being said, I was feeling a little sorry for Kevin Goessling, their kicker.
If I was him I would have just thrown in the towel a game or 2 ago! After missing as many kicks as he did, and crucial kicks, I would have just chucked it!
But I must say I was happy that he kicked a crucial (although game winning) 58 yard (Fresno State record) field goal with 2 ticks left on the clock in Logan Utah yesterday afternoon! What pressure that must have been!
Good job Kevin!
Hopefully this will be a real confidence booster for him!
I watched his interview after the game. His smile told it all!
To quote the Fresno Bee "Goessling's smile, braces and all, could have melted the Grinch."
Well it did melt me!
Again, good job Kevin!
Maybe in a few years you can kick a few for the 49ers!

Hawaii Warriors CRUSH Bulldogs
No Fresno State, no bad calls to help you out tonight!
Here are a few quotes from Coach Pat Hill from after the September 13th game with Wisconsin:
"We had some opportunities to make plays," Fresno State coach Pat Hill said. "I think Kevin Goessling is going to be a great [kicker] for us.
"I think Kevin Goessling," Hill said, "when it's all over, will be one of the best kickers that's ever gone through here.
"This game does not fall on him or any player. It was a team loss. There were so many missed opportunities."
Same old stuff, same ol' same ol'!!!! Keep runnin' your big mouth Pat Hill!
Well Fresno State, you're unranked now........just as I said you would be. No WAC titles or fancy bowl games for YOU!
Anyone, anytime, anywhere............ha ha ha that is soooooo laughable.
But do keep Kevin Goessling! He is one of the BEST! Spot on!

The fans liked him so much they were trying to get close to him.....maybe for an autograph??? Here is a quote from the Fresno Bee:
"Goessling: "There's no excuse" In the chaos and daze that followed another of those annually inexplicable Fresno State losses, Bulldog Stadium security and a few school officials flanked kicker Kevin Goessling."
Wow! This guy IS popular!

Anyone, anytime, anywhere!
LOSERS!
Not even the referees could help you out.....incomplete pass? The missed call of the century! But, cheaters never prosper!
Uh huh. Face it, you're just not that good. All mouth and hype. Anyone? Anytime? Anywhere?
Well, the #21 rated.......(or will that be unrated!) Fresno State Bulldogs are on the losing trail now! But do keep Kevin Goessling, he's GREAT..................Ü

That's Nacho Cheese!
Well it seems last Wednesday, Karen decided to clean out the pantry. She came across a 10 pound can of nacho cheese sauce.
The can was old and kinda bulging. As she took it from the pantry to the kitchen, it exploded. She dropped it on her right little toe and broke it (her toe that is!) Now, with yellow gooey nacho cheese sauce all over the floor and her hopping around the kitchen with a broken pinky toe, she slips and her left foot goes under the refrigerator where she breaks her LEFT little toe and cuts the one next to it!

Well, she's been home for a week resting her feet.
Monday, when it was 106 degrees, she is covered up with a blanket, shivering, cold. She said her stomach has been upset for about a week. She has a low grade fever of 101.
So, after 4 or 5 days of this she decides to visit her doctor. Her doctor says she has the West Nile virus.
No, she's not going to die......but she is sick with it.
Well, they say things always come it 3's.........let's see.....2 broken toes + West Nile = 3.
Give her a call if you want to cheer her up! (559) 430-4594.

Pismo twice in a month?
Last Saturday, we drove from Pismo to Cambria to see some friends of our, Joe & Vicki Herkel. They used to own Memory Lane Studios in Clovis. They "retired" in Cambria and opened a gallery! You can see it here http://www.memorylanecambria.com/
Here is a picture of Karen and Vicki at the gallery.
We left Cambria, but not before going by Nitt Witt Ridge. You've probably heard of it......but if not you can check it out here http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/12262.

Ahhhhh, the joys of PISMO!
Karen and I will be off to Pismo Beach in a week for a short vacation! Ah yes, Pismo, it's just like Fresno except for the cool clean air, ocean, beach, seafood, lack of traffic congestion, salt water taffy, 1200 foot pier, well you get the picture!
A friend of mine, Ron, sent me this video. It's just too good not to share!
